Installing a Bosch alarm system can be tricky and depending on the property and the requirements it can be more complex than a simple DIY job. Although it's not impossible for someone who is handy with tools and a ladder to install the cabling, judging from the many clients who have been surprised by the effort and time that goes into making sure that the installation is done properly, we highly recommend that you hire a professional TNT alarm installer which will save you unknown amounts of time and frustration. Home Sweet Home...
Home installation is often thought to be the simpler project but it can actually sometimes be more difficult than a commercial project and every installation will vary to some degree from the previous, making every installation a unique challenge.
Where something very specific is required we can work with you to determine what will suit best to satisfy your needs.
Most of the installations we have completed are using standard Bosch sensors and icon keypad with a Bosch solution 3000 (or 2000) which provide adequate protection for a standard house whether it be single or double storey. Options vary depending on budget and requirements. eg. Available sensors vary in sensitivity and type of detection which will vary with every customer. Some may require a pet friendly sensor to accommodate leaving the dog or cat at home and then there are different types of keypads also just to give a brief example.
At the Office or Retail...
As with the residential properties every new commercial installation comes with its own set of challenges and needs to be planned on some level to ensure the environment gets what it needs and what will suit it best.
Things that can make working in a commercial environment challenging can be things like height, position of ladders, access to the roof space or hung ceilings, staff safety and obstacles that require them to be removed or protected in order for the work to be done. Working out of hours to avoid peak activity times can also be something to consider, also with parking within the vicinity of the work being done and relative costs.
If the property is part of a body-corporate or with a shopping complex then permission needs to be granted by those bodies in order for the work to proceed. This may also require us to communicate with management of those bodies to ensure that we follow safety protocols that they have in place and to come to an agreement on the final appearance and location of the alarm and devices.
Warehouse or industrial type property. What else?...
When it comes to larger properties like a warehouse, factory or other industrial properties, we need to make a time to visit the site and see what is required and discuss preferences before we can offer a quote.

Single Storey - tile roof
With a standard single storey property, the work is often straight forward and provided the property is on level ground and access is possible without any obstructions (or special requirements), then the difficulty is kept to a minimum and so should be, the cost. Tiled roof means that we can remove tiles if we need to access the roof area to run the cable, without entering via the man-hole (If there is a man-hole). This could be an advantage but depending on the type of tile, it may be preferable to access via the man-hole in any case.
Single Storey - tin/metal roof
Almost as with single storey with tile roof option, most of the same applies here, however in most cases we will need to access the roof space via the man-hole. If removing the roof sheets is a better option or if access needs to be given via the roof, then additional costs will be necessary to do this properly, safely and to restore its original integrity when the metal is re-installed.
Double/Multi Storey
In most standard multi-level homes it is usually possible to do what's needed from inside the roof and with ladders, however on occasion it may be best to arrange to have an EWP of some kind on site (Elevated work platform) or other safety measures to be taken to minimize the risk of falls and injury.
Double Storey - tile roof
Provided the property is on level ground and access is possible without any obstructions (or special requirements), then the difficulty is kept to a minimum and so, should be the cost. As with the single storey options, Tiled Roof means that we can remove tiles if we need to access the roof area to run the cable, without entering via the man-hole. All of the above is relevant here too. Of course metal roofing makes it harder to access the cable in the very corners and edges, even if the roof space is clear and tall.
